Tulsa Hills Church of The Nazarene

Pastors Jim and Christy Thornton have served at Tulsa Hills Church since 1999. Jim’s ministry passions include proclaiming the transforming message of holiness in down-to-earth language as well as leading others into an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ through the ministry of prayer and counseling. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree (Theology/Christian Education, 1991) and Master’s degree (Church Leadership, 2009) from Southern Nazarene University. Jim also earned a Master of Arts degree in Professional Development (Organizational Leadership and Human Behavior, 2025) from Amberton University. He is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene.

Christy earned a Bachelor’s degree from Southern Nazarene University and serves as Administrative Pastor as well as Pastor to Women. Christy is an ordained deacon in the Church of the Nazarene. They are blessed with three sons, two daughters-in-law, and two granddaughters: Tyler and Kenna, Charlotte, and Ella (and another on the way!); Josh and Maddie, and Jacob.
